Room Host Responsibilities

If you create a Room, you're responsible for:

  • Setting clear expectations (vibe, audience, location)
  • Moderating your Room's activity
  • Removing members who violate guidelines
  • Ensuring a safe, welcoming environment
  • Cancelling responsibly if plans change

Audience Settings

Hosts can set audience preferences (e.g., Women Only) for safety and comfort. This feature is designed to create safe spaces, not to discriminate. Use it responsibly.

Eventi Guide Activities

Eventi Guide Activities are AI-curated opportunities to help you discover new activities and meet people. These are marked as "An Eventi Guide Activity" in the Room description.

What Makes These Different?

Eventi Guide Activities are NOT traditional events. They don't have a dedicated host or organizer. Instead, they're collaborative opportunities where members work together to make the activity happen.

Key things to know:

  • The suggested date/time is a flexible starting point. Members coordinate the actual plan
  • Location details are AI-generated suggestions. Verify before attending
  • Photos are from Google Places and may not be current
  • YOU and other members are responsible for making it happen
  • There's no guarantee the activity will proceed if members don't coordinate

How to Make Eventi Guide Activities Successful

Do:

  • Use the chat to coordinate: Discuss actual meeting times, confirm venue details, and plan logistics
  • Verify the venue: Check opening hours, location, and accessibility before attending
  • Take initiative: If you're interested, help organize! Suggest specific times, offer to book a table, etc.
  • Be flexible: The suggested details are starting points, not fixed plans
  • Communicate clearly: Let others know if you're coming or if plans change
  • Be understanding: These activities rely on member coordination. Plans may evolve or not work out

Don't:

  • Assume someone else will organize everything. Everyone shares responsibility
  • Expect a formal host to be present or manage the activity
  • Show up without coordinating with other members first
  • Assume the venue details are confirmed. Always verify
  • Blame Eventi if the activity doesn't work out. These are collaborative, not organized events

Safety for Eventi Guide Activities

Since these activities don't have a dedicated host, extra safety awareness is important:

Before attending:

  • Get to know members in the chat: Use the Room chat to build rapport with other members first
  • Verify venue details: Double-check the location is legitimate and public
  • Confirm who's actually coming: Ask in the chat who plans to attend
  • Follow all standard safety practices: Tell a friend your plans, meet in public, arrange your own transport
  • Trust your instincts: If the coordination feels off or chaotic, it's okay to sit it out

Reporting Issues

If you encounter problems specific to Eventi Guide Activities, report them:

  • Misleading activity suggestions: If the AI generated inappropriate or misleading details
  • Member behavior: If someone in the Room is harassing others, spamming, or being disrespectful
  • Safety concerns: If the suggested venue or activity seems unsafe
  • Fake venues: If the suggested location doesn't exist or is incorrect

Remember

Eventi Guide Activities are a discovery tool. They're suggestions, not guarantees. Success depends on members working together. Be proactive, be flexible, and be safe!
